Collegiate Care
This October, the Minnetonka church will be sending care packages to Minnetonka church members 18-24 years old. This is the third mailing since beginning a collegiate care group in 2008 and we have received great feedback from those we have current addresses for.
Past care packages have included a brief introduction to the care group; seasonal health articles or recipes; church news and service bulletins and various “mailable” treats and small gifts. All this is done through the generosity of YOU! Most importantly, you provide updated mailing addresses for collegiate adults (no, they don’t have to be “attending college”) and support funds or in-kind donations. (Did you know postage is expensive?)
Going forward, it would be nice to incorporate prayer supporters. One goal would be to have enough people engage in prayer support with 2-3 collegiate youth. Currently there are 38 individuals on the mailing list which means that there is a need for 13-19 prayer supporters.
How will you choose to be involved? Whether it is your funded support, updated mailing addresses, submitted seasonal health tips and recipes, attending mailing production meetings, becoming a prayer supporter or even a career mentor (another new idea), you are welcome to share your talents.
Please contact Pastor Benji Ferguson or Patty Gadberry to discuss how you want to “be there” for the collegiate youth.
