Did you ever walk into our church, look around, and just feel good about how well our building represents us? I’m new here, so I get that feeling just about every time I walk in the front door. We have a nice facility, and we keep it nice. This is in keeping with Biblical principles, because we worship the same God Who was very specific about how He wanted His sanctuary to be built, maintained, and revered. So it does more than represent us to the public; how we take care of what God has blessed us with tells others how much we value Him.
Did you ever walk in, notice something that needs attention, and think how much better we would be represented if that item got some attention? This happens sometimes as well, because we do use the building, and we should expect that wear and use are going to leave their mark.
Fortunately, we have a fine team that keeps up appearances for us: Dotty (with Nathan often assisting) does the main work, with Kennedy straightening up before Living In His Presence services. We appreciate the work they do for the Lord, but periodically some deeper cleaning needs to happen than the custodians can reasonably be expected to do on a weekly basis. At times like this, those who are able need to lend a hand, and to do the work as service to the Lord. Please take note of the work and cleaning bees in the bulletin board section of this bulletin, and consider what you can contribute.
