OUR DESTINATION
PURPOSE: God revealed Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ, to give us hope and assurance of eternal salvation through faith in His sacrifice on the cross (John 3:16), to invite us to worship Him in spirit and in truth (John 4:23), to love one another as He loved us (John 13:34-35), and to go into all the world to share His Good News (Matthew 28:19-20).
MISSION : The mission of the Minnetonka Seventh-day Adventist church is to passionately KNOW God as our personal friend and intentionally SHARE God as caring disciples.
VISION: Our response to the Gospel of Jesus Christ compels us to become a growing Adventist congregation. We will impact our community through God-directed worship, selfless service, and a culture of active participation by every member.
OUR DIRECTIVES
We are guided on our journey by these marks of discipleship:
Saving Grace – Disciples have assurance of eternal life by accepting God’s saving grace. (Salvation)
Spiritual Disciplines – Disciples deepen a relationship with God by regularly practicing spiritual disciplines. (Spirituality)
Small Groups – Disciples form friendships for eternity in small groups . (Fellowship)
Sabbath Worship – Disciples come in awe before God through weekly Sabbath worship (Worship)
Spiritual Gifts – Disciples serve God effectively by using their God-given spiritual gifts. (Ministry)
Sharing Christ – Disciples make disciples for Jesus by sharing Christ. (Evangelism)
Sacrificial Giving – Disciples give back to God, as His faithful stewards, through sacrificial giving. (Stewardship)
Sanctified Living – Disciples follow Jesus, empowered by the Spirit, through sanctified living. (Obedience)
